Fleet Foxes, Bright Eyes, Khruangbin, and more join Pixies at End of the Road 2022

HELLO FRIENDS!

After a “majestic return” to the Gardens in 2021 – which saw five-star reviews across the board – we are delighted to share with you the lineup for End Of The Road 2022. We’re talking Pixies, Fleet Foxes, Bright Eyes, Khruangbin, The Magnetic Fields, Aldous Harding, Perfume Genius, Tinariwen, The Weather Station, Greentea Peng, and so many more.

Last remaining tickets are ON SALE NOW: Grab yours here!

Joining Pixies at the top of the bill, will be festival favourites and songwriters extraordinaire Fleet Foxes, noughties’ defining indie acts Bright Eyes, and far-out funk and soul psych-rock wizards Khruangbin, who will kick off Thursday’s festivities.

Elsewhere, there is much to explore for music fans of all persuasions, starting with the avant-pop of Stephin Merritt’s legendary outfit The Magnetic Fields, indie-pop oddball Aldous Harding, the uncompromising and otherworldly Perfume Genius and poet-guitarist soul rebels from Mali Tinariwen.

We’re thrilled that we can, once again, cast our gaze across the Atlantic and welcome back the best, most forward-thinking Americana from the likes of Kurt Vile & The Violators, The Weather Station, Cassandra Jenkins and Kevin Morby. Plus Greentea Peng is bringing her unique psychedelic R&B, whilst hot new band Gabriels bring their modern take on doo-wop and gospel.

For those adventurous ears, experimental frequencies will be provided by Circuit des Yeux, Moor Mother, and more; and there is, as usual, a strong jazz presence with breakout star trumpeter Emma-Jean Thackray, Nala Sinephro and Alabaster DePlume amongst the plentiful offerings.

Following their breakthrough set in 2019, we welcome back math-rock upstarts black midi alongside a whole new crop of leftfield guitar bands like Purling Hiss, Part Chimp, TV Priest and Geese.

Finally, and back by popular demand, Yard Act and Wu-Lu are joined by other exciting new names in alternative music such as Dehd, Bingo Fury, NewDad and Los Bitchos – who are on the tip of the tongue of every tastemaker.

Reflecting on the last few years and looking ahead to September, festival co-founder Simon Taffe said:

“I’m beyond excited about our 2022 lineup, which features artists we’ve been asking to play since 2006 and includes some of the greatest songwriters of all time in my opinion. It really feels like this is the summer all festivals have been waiting for, a summer three years in the making for some. We have all been through a lot together and it feels good to be back, and to finally be able to dance with friends and artists from all over the world again.”

Yep, September couldn’t come soon enough.
