Formed from connections made in skateboarding, construction, and teenage delinquency, Upchuck have been a staple of Atlanta’s indie music scene since 2018. Their raucous and revolutionary debut album Sense Yourself (2022) makes for a compelling blend of high-energy punk and scuzzy hardcore which lead singer KT describes as an “ode to protection of self and the importance of taking up space.” Infused with elements of psych rock, punk and hip-hop, Upchuck’s in-your-face and unrelenting live shows are unmissable.
