Headed by songwriter El Kempner, Palehound are known for their off-kilter guitars, heavy riffs and diaristic lyrics. With four albums to date, 2023’s Eye on the Bat is a humorously human break-up album recorded in the Catskill Mountains with Sam Evian (Big Thief, Cass McCombs), which Rolling Stone called “one hell of a ride”.
