IDLES

Britain’s revered post-hardcore heroes are back. IDLES filled the Big Top in 2018, and we thought is was high time they returned.

Formed in 2009 by frontman Joe Talbot, the band became embedded in Bristol’s hardcore scene and in 2017 released their debut album, Brutalism to critical acclaim. Their second, Joy as an Act of Resistance, followed in 2018 to unbridled enthusiasm.

Approaching subjects such as toxic masculinity, Brexit and the rise of the far right, IDLES’ gritty and passionate political punk has made them the voice of a generation. It’s no surprise they’re admired by Nick Cave and Iggy Pop.

Their much anticipated upcoming album Tangk, self-described as their “love album” is due for release in February 2024 via Partisan Records and was announced at the band’s secret 2023 London show at Village Underground, which Mojo Magazine described as “a ferocious call to arms.”

For over a decade, IDLES have turned anger into art. So join us in sweaty revelry – we’ll see you in the mosh pit!
