Rising from the ashes of indie four-piece Palma Violets, Gently Tender was formed by Sam Fryer, joined by his former bandmates Will Doyle and Pete Mayhew, along with The Big Moon’s Celia Archer and guitarist Adam Brown. Taking their name from a song by psychedelic folk legends The Incredible String Band, Gently Tender blend old soul and funk with tinges of 60s/70s psychedelic pop and folk.
