Christmas has come earlier this year… Say hello to the first wave of acts playing End of The Road 2025.
First up, party-starter Caribou returns to the Gardens a whole 15 years after his unforgettable set in the Big Top, this time to headline the Woods Stage. Also returning to End of the Road, and having recently released his collection of apocalyptic rockers ‘Mahashmashama’, is the chicest man in music and God’s favourite customer, Father John Misty, ready to take you to new heights.
Be prepared to sing along to Self Esteem’s perfect blend of maximalist pop and indie anthems; plus enigmatic singer, songwriter and actor Sharon Van Etten will mesmerise you on Thursday night, alongside her new band The Attachment Theory for their only UK festival performance.
Further down the bill are electronic shoegazers Mount Kimbie, chamber rock darlings Black Country, New Road, and experimental fusion rock group GOAT.
As usual, the best new guitar music is always on display with former black midi frontman Geordie Greep and Aussie punks Tropical Fuck Storm leading the way, whilst the old heads of Throwing Muses bring their experience and enviable back catalogue to proceedings.
Leftfield electronic pop fans are in for a treat with the announcement of John Maus and These New Puritans whilst Joy Orbison and Ela Minus will offer something a bit more direct and heavy to lead you onto the late-night dance floor.
South African Future Funk trailblazer Moonchild Sanelly is set to get feet moving, the rich and mellow tones of American musician Rosali will offer a serene moment, and Syrian bouzouki player Mohammad Syfkhan will bring his endlessly danceable music, full of joy and hope, incorporating Middle Eastern and North African elements.
Last but not least, fans of folk music will rejoice with the mesmerising modern melodies and singular Irish voice of Lisa O’Neill, plus Emma-Jean Thackray who has become one of the leading lights in the UK jazz scene.
And so much more still to come!
