Frank Water

Global water charity Frank Water is joining us again this year, providing chilled, filtered water refills for thirsty festival-goers. All you need to do is head to a Frank Water kiosk or hunt down the roaming ‘Frank Tank’ and buy a reusable refill bottle or wristband to get access to unlimited refills all weekend to keep you feeling rehydrated!

Frank Water’s refill service means less single-use plastic going to landfill and helps us reduce our environmental impact. Every purchase supports Frank Water’s projects working directly with communities at the forefront of climate change to protect and restore natural water sources for people, nature and our planet.

With their ‘Refill+’ upgrade option, you can treat yourself to sparkling water and flavoured botanical cordials, including Elderflower or Cucumber and Mint.

The Refill weekend wristband is £7.50 per person or an additional £6 for the ‘Refill+’ upgrade. Refill water bottles with unlimited refills range from £12.50-£34.

TOILETS AND SHOWERS?

Toilet and Shower locations can be seen on our festival map, here on the General Info page. Accessible Toilets can be seen on a map here on the Accessibility Page.

We use compost toilets in most of our toilet blocks. Compost toilets are a chemical-free, water-free, renewable alternative to normal flushing or chemical event toilets. They require less cleaning, produce less odour and are better for the environment. Find out more at compoostsolutions.co.uk

All toilets at the festival, both in the festival village and in campsites, are unisex stalls or urinals.

End of the Road is an inclusive and safe space for all. We proudly stand with trans, non-binary and intersex communities and protect the right of individuals to use the bathroom facilities that align with their gender identity.

Sexual Assault and Harassment Policy

Every allegation of sexual assault – defined as any unwanted sexual act or activity – will be taken seriously by event organisers, who will take a survivor-led approach that is underpinned by policies, procedures, and training. Where relevant, we will work with appropriate authorities to ensure that the survivor’s complaint is acted upon promptly and investigated.

We have specific policies and procedures in place for addressing sexual assault and harassment on-site. These are supplemented by clear, robust reporting and disclosure processes, including how to report incidents on-site and post-event. This also includes relevant health guidance and connections to local services such as local Rape Crisis centres, sexual assault, specific LGBT+ resources and referral centres (SARCs) and appropriate aftercare services.

We will actively promote the principle of consent regarding sexual activity on-site at our events. Consent is defined as someone engaging in sexual activity if they agree by choice, and they have the freedom and capacity to make that choice. Consent can be revoked at any time.

We commit to providing training for staff and volunteers on how to proactively monitor for and deal with incidents of sexual assault and harassment. Training will be provided in these areas and delivered by specialist providers where relevant: prevention, reporting procedure, survivor support and awareness. We will ensure that relevant staff are equipped to proactively support survivors.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment and sexual assault. If you experience or witness sexual harassment or sexual assault at End of the Road, please report it to our Welfare Team who are located at the First Aid tent. The Welfare Crew is made up of a range of professionals in their respective fields, ranging from mental health professions, social workers, NHS support staff etc. They are furthermore trained in drug and alcohol support, safeguarding level 3 and how to assist in cases of sexual assault and domestic violence. They have a safe space for you to discuss any issues confidentially and discreetly.

Anti-Discrimination and Inclusivity Policy

End of the Road is an inclusive and safe space for all. We have a zero tolerance policy for offensive behaviour or discrimination of any kind. This is deemed to be (but not limited to) racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, sexism and/or any form of intersectional discrimination where these combine. We reserve the right to evict anyone engaging in anti-social behaviour or making others feel unsafe.

We proudly stand with trans, non-binary and intersex communities and protect the right of individuals to use the bathroom facilities that align with their gender identity.

Liftshare

Find someone to share your festival journey with to cut down on congestion, cash and carbon.

Car sharing is a great way of starting the party before you arrive on-site and is often cheaper than public transport options.

Find out more here.

Can I bring and set up a Gazebo?

No, no gazebos are allowed for health and safety reasons.

I missed out on a ticket. What can I do?

Starting August 11th at midday, you can buy and sell tickets via Twickets, with prices capped at face value.

Please don’t buy directly through social media platforms as they may be a scam or via other platforms like Viagogo, Eventbrite or Stubhub as these won’t be valid.

It costs £5 to charge for a 5000mAh pack (£7 for 7000mAh & £10 for 10000mAh), and there is a £20 refundable deposit for the pack (which you can walk around the festival with before bringing it back). They no longer offer static plug-in phone charging.

Is there a Baby Changing & Caring Area?

We have a dedicated Baby Changing & Caring Area to give children and caregivers a calm, comfortable space when needed. You’ll find the area in a bell tent to the left of the Art Gallery. It’s a peaceful spot designed for nappy changes, feeding, and quiet time away from the crowds. This space is open throughout the day and free to use.

Can I bring my camping stove?

No barbecues or open fires permitted.

More on reusable cups

Choosing the best type of cup for your drinks involves many competing factors such as their ease of use, carbon footprint, ease of recycling and so on. At first thought, paper cups might be a winner as they are suitable for cold drinks and biodegradable, but they are single-use. A second option might be lightweight plastic cups which use a lot less energy in production and can be recycled, but they are also single-use.

As with previous years, we have chosen to hire reusable polypropylene cups which win on energy and CO2 emissions, provided each cup gets sufficient reuse. By hiring these cups, they get plenty of opportunities for reuse at many events all year round. Plus, polypropylene can be recycled at the end of its life.

Our cup scheme will be the same as last year. We will charge £2 for your first cup when you buy your first drink and you will then be issued with a clean cup – at no extra charge – every time you go back to the bar, as long as you have a cup to exchange. If you lose your cup, you will need to start the process all over again. When you’re done with your cup, please return it to the bar so it can be washed and reused at other events. You are welcome to bring your own reusable cup, however the bar staff reserve the right to refuse to use it if they deem it unfit for purpose.

Festival Wood – “Give Something Back”

onboard:earth

We have teamed up with onboard:earth‘s campaign, asking for an optional £5 donation when you purchase your tickets. All the donations have added up to over £4,500 which has gone to plant trees, restore and protect threatened ecosystems, preserve wildlife and biodiversity, and support communities on the frontline of climate change.

Since 2023 your donations have directly supported the work of four amazing projects:

– Reforestation in Nicaragua, a PlanVivo verified carbon offset project, which works with smallholder farmers to restore forests at scale while benefiting the communities that need it the most.

– Community-led tree-planting and forestry protection in Northern Malawi, improving health and education opportunities through the creation of sustainable livelihoodsthrough reforestation with Temwa.

– Protecting threatened rainforests to store and sequester vast quantities of carbon as well as protecting vital wildlife corridors and funding training for local communities to combat threats such as forest fires and unlawful deforestation, through The Rainforest Trust’s Climate Action Fund.

– A peatland and forest conservation project in Katingan, Indonesia (VSC, REDD+) working towards the restoration and preservation of the ecosystem while supporting local communities with a development programme that runs across 34 villages.

You can find out more about the work of onboard:earth here

Recycling

End of the Road Festival is dedicated to producing as little waste as possible and recycling wherever we can. We work with locally based Grist Environmental to make sure any waste generated on-site is dealt with in an environmentally friendly way. All our festival bins in the main arena and around the stages are combined waste bins for easy use, but these then get locally hand-sorted into various recyclable materials. We also ask for your assistance with this task so that we can all do our little bit to leave no trace. If you are staying on-site, please collect a clear plastic recycling bag from wristband exchange or one of the information points to use at your tent. The campsites have recycling collection points near most of the toilet blocks for your pre-sorted bags.

We strongly discourage leaving anything behind, but when this does happen, tents and other items that are in a good condition are collected and donated to refugee aid charities. If you have good quality items that you find you’re unable to take home, you can help in this process by dropping them off at wristband exchange as your leave. Please be careful about removing all your tent pegs as our beautiful festival site is used for sheep grazing during the rest of the year. On the subject of tents, we are now partnering with Vintents, who will supply our Boutique Camping area with upcycled canvas tents.

Travel

We have plenty of public transport options so you can leave the car at home. We work exclusively with National Express to provide return National Coaches from a variety of locations right into the festival site. You can also book a train ticket up to 12 weeks in advance and hop on a Shuttle Bus service from Salisbury Station and back. Find out more here.
