Jacob Slater’s anarchic punk beginnings started in short-lived London band Dead Pretties, he went on to exchange hedonistic city life for the rolling waves of Newquay and has since been making his own way with solo project Wunderhorse. His debut Cub is a showcase of Americana-tinged storytelling, fizzing with grit and energy- and was unsurprisingly listed in NME’s 25 best debut albums of 2022.
