Headed by Ruban Neilson, Unknown Mortal Orchestra first garnered the attention of music fans all over the world after they anonymously released the single “Ffuny Ffriends” on Bandcamp in 2010. Striding on, with hits like “So Good At Being Trouble” and “Huneybee”, as well as five studio albums behind them on Fat Possum Records and Jagjaguwar, 2023 sees the release of a forthcoming double album and UK/North American tour. It’s a kind of distorted dreamy disco echoing 60s psych and krautrock minimalism, which witnessed live is “nothing short of spectacular”.
