We’re actually pinching ourselves. We can’t believe we get to welcome The Magnetic Fields to End of the Road. Led by Stephin Merritt and his distinctive baritone, the Boston natives 3-decade spanning career boasts 12 studio albums – including the iconic, heartbreaking 69 Love Songs, 1999’s Holiday and 2012’s more playful Love at the Bottom of the Sea. Never has one band conveyed so much tenderness, and wry, surreal, dark humour with such a light touch. Merritt’s songwriting is second to none. We’ve got chills thinking about those classics, as well as material from 2020’s Quickies, floating over the fields at Larmer Tree Gardens this summer.
