Kyle Thomas (AKA King Tuff) made his recording debut in 2006 and has played with a whole host of bands from freak folk collective Feathers to Hand Habits. For his latest solo release, he reflects, “I wanted to make an album to remind myself that life is magical.” The result is Smalltown Stardust (2023), a thoroughly tender and joyous album written and produced with multi-instrumentalist SASAMI, which serves as a beautiful love letter to life and nature, steeped in the warm, psychedelic pop-rock of the 1970s.
