In 2015 Jon McKiel created a collection of eerie psychedelic pop songs from samples excavated from a mysterious reel-to-reel recorder he purchased online, this resulted in 2020’s Bobby Joe Hope which quickly became a cult hit. Pushing the boundaries of music-making methodologies, McKiel’s work touches on hauntology, nostalgia, loner-folk, and psychedelia. We eagerly await his End of the Road debut.
