Exploring themes of class consciousness, mental health and anti-capitalism, Stereogum’s band to watch High Vis may have roots in the UK hardcore scene, but their recent work shows them taking a more emotive route. The band are well known for their viscerally passionate live shows, with Pitchfork describing their “Britpop-infused post-punk” 2022 album Blending as having a moving “call to action and emotional candour”.
