The Australian Music Prize-nominated rising star released her debut album Can’t Make You Love Me to much acclaim in 2019. It’s a dizzying ride through love, lust and surrender with a dreamy ambience not dissimilar to the soundtracks of Twin Peaks, or Mazzy Star. Touring was much anticipated but sadly COVID hit. Almost four years later, her sophomore album Deep Is the Way is due for release in 2023. It’s been a long time coming.
