“I hold dual citizenship in heaven and earth,” says Ronnel Raphael, reciting from his own poem at the outset of their debut EP, A Nation of Bloodsuckers. It epitomises the rock’n’roll credentials of the North London-dwelling brothers, Loral and Ronnel. Watching them we realise they’re the most stylish and distinctive rock band we’ve come across in a long time. They’re a bit pop-infused space rock, a bit drone-rock, a bit noisy, and most of all, a lot of fun. They’re also rich in mythology (interviews have been interrupted an irate debt collector), heaped with praise and blessed with incredible haircuts. What more do you want?!
