Parquet Courts

Parquet Courts’ special breed of punk began in 2010 when these former Texans relocated to Brooklyn and began practicing and gigging regularly. A fusion of New York punk and Nineties guitar noise, 2012’s Light Up Gold (recorded in just three days) demonstrated just how unique they were.

They’ve shown in the years since that there’s even more to them – from the instrumental, experimental Monastic Living EP through to last year’s brilliant full length Human Performance – which was more melodic, more personal and angrier than anything they’d done before. And, if you caught them at the festival in 2013, you’ll also know they’re a breathlessly exciting and raw live act too.
