Moor Mother

When Wire Magazine says someone “might be the most radical – even the most useful – Afrofuturist artist to emerge for years” you know you’ve got to listen. Philadelphian Camae Ayewa (Moor Mother) is a poet, musician and activist, and has performed at festivals, galleries, and museums around the world. Her debut album Fetish Bones used spoken word, free jazz, raw noise and sampled voices to create a brilliant twist on the Afrofuturism and it’s all brought to life on stage with a wild, vital energy that make her shows unmissable.
