Margaret Glaspy’s 2016 did not turn out as she imagined. She recorded her debut full-length, Emotions And Math, in her bedroom thinking that she would self-release it. But ATO Records had other ideas: they put the album out to great acclaim – and she’s been touring the world ever since.
We completely understand why ATO were so excited. The album pulls together folk, blues, and straight up grunge rock, as well as diverse influences like Weezer, Elliott Smith and Joni Mitchell. Simply put, it is the sound of one of the most exciting breakout acts of the last year.
