When Michelle Zauner, the guitarist and singer for the hugely underrated Little Big League, decided to make a solo album the result was Psychopomp – an emotional, enlightening dream-pop wonder that will leave you astonished. Written in the weeks after her mother died of cancer, it featured starkly personal lyrics backed by traces of 80s pop, blissful vocals and inherent knack for pop melody. Her second album Soft Sounds From Another Planet took her to another level yet again – Zauner exploring an expansive thematic universe over the course of 12 stunning tracks.
