Emerging as part of a new wave of punk from Australia’s East Coast, Amyl and The Sniffers have quickly delivered a stockpile of grimy riffs and blistering live shows that have made the band a hot ticket.
EPs ‘Giddy Up’ (written in twelve hours!) and ‘Big Attraction’ only upped the ante and the live shows saw lead singer Amy Taylor sneer, snarl and laugh her way through the set, while the band deliver powerhouse riffs that slap you in the face. They take their cues from a diverse bunch of legends – they’re possessed by the spirit of seventies (think AC/DC) as much as now (think Die Antwoord). But most of all they want to have the most fun possible. And they make sure you do too.
